Hang in there!!! We will get better. I am hoping to be able to walk well enough to get out and do a little turkey hunting before the end of the season.

Sorry to hear that- that's bad luck for sure. That's why the only running I do is to the bathroom in the morning....

Ouch! I feel the pain. I broke the little bone on the right side of my right foot about 12-13 years ago. It's amazing how much force is applied to these little bones when walking or running. You find out when you break them! Do what you can not to aggravate it.

I did the EXACT same thing in 2006... stepped half on and half off the side of a curb that was not painted and kind of in an unexpected place... didn't hurt, boot was an every day inconvenience BUT this happened the Sunday before deer season opened. Sooooo... no tree stand for me. Had to hunt from a popup only and drive all the way to my stand. I couldn't walk on rocks and definitely not very far after only those few days but I didn't miss any hunting because of it! The next year I was very pregnant and couldn't climb a tree stand then either.... popup came in handy again...

You'll get there and anything is better than surgery!
