    Age please (teeth experts)

We shot this deer the last weekend of the season. This weekend we boiled the skull for the euro mount so I though I would the experts confirm his age. The live pics are 5 days prior to him meeting up with a 6XC.

Need pics from other side of teeth and straight down on them.

From those pics I would say 4.5-5.5. To narrow it down we really need a top pic of the teeth and a good broadside of the buck without the feeder leg across his chest. Those are two very imortant views.

I will say 3 1/2-4 1/2. From angle of pic, looks like he still had his enamel on the back molars.

Congratulations on a nice buck, but not mature. Can't tell much about details of age from a side view of jaw. Can however see that the lingual crests of 5th and 6th molars are still sharp and appears to have enamel wider than dentine... hence a pre-mature deer (3 1/2-4 1/2 year old).

Let me get better pics of teeth. From the huge body size and everything I know of our bucks I figured this deer at minimum of 6.5. I may be way off but he had 75 pounds on known 4.5 year olds

3.5 - 4.5 by the teeth. The deer in the pictures doesn't look like a 3.5 yo so I call him 4.5.

3.5 based on that side, he may have favored his other side showing more wear, cause he looks possibly 4.5 in the pics. No older than 4.5 in any case.

3.5 by 4th tooth wear but really need to see from above to see dentine

                              That's a 2.5 year old deer.

The last cusp on the rear most molar tells the tail. On a 3.5 year old deer that's usually worn and not sharp. The third tooth back from the front is also a tell tail. It's almost brand new because that's the slot where the milk tooth is drooped between 1 and 2 years old. So that tooth is less than a year old.
