My son and I have been itching to get out with the new FoxPro and decoy to try a little predator hunting. He didn't last long this morning as it was pretty cold out. No yotes came in but we did get the crows going stir crazy. We also had two hawks fly in and land to hang out for awhile.
What I thought was funny was we switched to a raspy woodpecker call just to test it out. Next thing I noticed was racket next to us in a tree and it was what appeared to be a woodpecker.
Tried a little this evening and had an owl fly in and hang out like the hawks this morning. At least we are getting predatorial birds to come in for now.
We plan to keep at it to see if we can get a yote, fox or bobcat to come in
