    Buying a used bow

I'm looking to buy a back bow of sorts. I shoot an assassin now that's a 70lb draw weight. I love the bow, but I'm wanting something smoother to draw and less poundage. Like a 60lb draw. I'm looking for some advise on a used Switchback,Hoyt Charger or a Bear. I realize it's all subjective but you can't shoot used bows before you buy them off AT. Looking for something in the $300-400 range and there's alot to chose from. Thanks for any help, Kevin.

a used Elite Z28 can be found in your price range , includes lifetime warranty

60# bow will be super smooooth and feel like you're pulling 45-50#

I bought a DXT off here 2 years ago for the same reason.Love the Assasin, just a little harsh drawing it for me.There are some great bows in the classifieds in your price range.I think there is,or was, a DXT on here for about your range.Good luck.

How do you like your DXT, I've never shot a mathews but have heard good things about them. I will still hunt with my assassin but want something to shoot more often.

I shoot a Switchback XT that is super smooth. I see absolutely no need to try to upgrade.

Any shooting is good practice in the off season, but shooting your actual hunting bow is even better. Set up same as you would have it in the stand. Have you considered dropping the poundage down to make it more comfortable? But be sure to bump it back up to your hunting weight a month or so before season.

                  But..... I have a 60 #er and 70#er myself. Can't have too many bows! ;-)

Thanks 12ring, could be a plan to get a back up bow, also.
