Yeah, name in the fretboard is a whole different problem. Would have to find somebody with a good Drexel and steady had, or CNC machine. Hard to do on a finished neck as the frets would be in the way potentially. Do you build your own bodies Restless? Those look great. BTW, to get anything from the Fender Custom Shop, you're looking at 6 months minimum wait and I've heard/been told their stuff starts at about $3K.....

You have to inlay a fretboard before you cut the fret slots. Lay it out on the blank board, inlay it, sand smooth, then cut slots and install frets.
Id buy a fret board and have it CNC"ed to easy to muck up a nice Piece of Rosewood then its a simple job to finish up the Neck, I have made Bodys but there are so many Partscaster's and Organ Donors out there its hard to justify the time On a Fender style Guitar. Just Bought an American Fender Neck and Strat Body for $64 yesterday, Helps to know what your looking at and I watch the Pawn shops. Guitar Fetish Has some Good Deals on Finished bodys if anyone wants a simple Build.
