You may remember me talking about Rusty, a young boy who was wheel chair bound. One of Macies freinds and a very close family friend.

Rusty passed away this afternoon. Please pray for the Higgins family and especially Rusty's twin brother Jeffery.

While families of special needs kids always know it's possible, nothing prepares you for this.

This is Rusty. His 3 brothers shot on our 4-H rifke team. Rusty was a honey member. I would always ask him when was going to shoot. He'd get so excited and stiffen up. I'll never forget this day. It was slow, not a lot of kids, so Rusty's mom and I wheeled up to the line. I held the rifle to his shoulder and his mom tried her best to get his finger on the trigger. He was so excited, ever muscle in his body was stif as a board! I was worried that we were going to hurt him. He "shot" probably 100 rounds, till it was to dark to see. He cried big time when I told him we had to quit.
