My dog had these exact same symptoms. Look at his moith, if his tongue and gums dont have full color, or they look kind of pale, he could have hookworms and it needs to be taken care of fast!

My boxer acted like this a couple of days after giving her Trifexis for fleas and ticks. It went away and vet said it was normal. Dogs temperatures are hotter than ours. I think the norm is 101 for them.

Parvo. 101.5 is normal dog temp.

Any chance he has been swimming or submerged in stagnant water.

                Parvo or this ^^^

Regardless - you need a different vet.

Parvo usually affects younger dogs. Sounds more like hookworms, but they took a normal stool sample.

Second Vet!! Had a vet tell me my lab didn't have Parvo, next day took him to another vet when he wasn't better and he sure enough had it and it was pretty far along. Don't wait!

His dog is only a year old. Very much in the susceptible age. And, older dogs can get parvo, too.

Exactly, pretty rare for an older dog to get it. So many things could be going on. Obstruction, hooks, poisons. Keep us posted

If it was parvo he would have the worst diarrhea you have ever seen that smells terrible and would be vomiting. dogs can get parvo at any age if they were not vaccinated properly.
Drooling is a sign of nausea, is he prone to eating things (toys, bones, raw hides, underware..)? if he has a foreign body that could make him drool and lethargic. Poison can also cause those symptoms but they should have seen changes in his blood work. Have them do a radiograph of his stomach.
Does he like to lick frogs?

                          Good luck

Well he has a infection in his pancreas. Ans is having a problem digesting fats amd has a lot of gas build up. He got him another antibiotic shot and some stonger antibiotics. Those breeds are funny even when he was miserable and in pain he kept bringing me sticks to throw him haha
