    Amarillo...What is it?

Just a couple miles west out of town off I-40, there is what looks like some old cars with the front end buried, and the rear sticking straight up on the south side of the interstate. Been passing by it the last several days and there are always folks parked and out there walking around looking at them. They're just out in the middle of a field, probably not 100 yards off the road. What is it?

"Well, I'll be John Brown".......where does that saying come from? You are the first person outside of my family that I've heard that from. Is it a movie/show? My father-in-law says it, now he's got me to repeating it. I'd sure like to know if I'm about to offend anyone before I say it.

My papaw said it all the time. He used to get so frustrated with my memaw. It would go like this: "I'll be John Brown, woman! Great to my day in the mornin', I'm trying to cook over here... fix that salad over yonder for Pete's sake."

Theres weird stuff all over town from that guy. A field that looks like a pool table from a plane. Weird signs with crazy sayings all over, and I think even a large leg with a tube sock on it somewhere in town! Worked there for a month in 2008. Odd stuff!!

Stanly Marsh was an odd character, calling him ecclectic is an understatement. Seems I remember he was implicated with some child sexual abuse towards the end of his life.

I didnt realize he had died until you said that. Google said he died last summer in the midst of even more charges. There were always rumors of him and kids when i lived and worked up in Pampa and Amarillo.

Never met the guy, but the stories always reminded me of this character.
