    Us optics

I'm wondering if anybody owns or has handled the US OPTICS ST-10 tpal. I have been considering purchasing one. I'm needing opinions on quality and if they are really worth the money.

I have never looked through one, but from my reading about them for the last few years . They are great scopes but most are preferring the Nightforce

All my scopes are USO's. Extremely Durable and great glass. This makes them heavy for a hunting rifle, but they dont really cater to the hunting market.
The ST10 (fixed 10x) is great, but has its limitations. You dont have the versatility of variable power like its brother the MR10 (1.8-10x).
1200yds is a stretch for any 10x optic. I'm guessing you are looking at the ST10 because it is their least expensive offering? Lots of folks buy the ST10 as their first USO and end up moving up to an LR17 or bigger for long range duty.

Correct I have about 1600 to spend on a quality scope. I've looked at some other bands as well NF, S&B. Are there any other brands that are worth a good look in the price range I'm in?

a USO will set you back $3K for the model best suited for your needs

go with NF 5.5x22x56 and you're done

$2375 is a little out of my price range. I'd also like it to be mil/mil.

That's MSRP...I paid $1500+/-...they make it in a bunch of options and mil/mil. Definitely work a look.

You can get some decent glass in your price range. I'm obviously a big USO fan but wouldn't want to just tell you to get one that wont really suit your needs. 1x magnification is about the minimum you want per 100yds, so the 10x is really limited to 1000yds for any type of silhouette or man-sized targets.

Dont overlook used scopes. NF is good and the higher end Vortex stuff is good too.
Maybe look for a used USO in 17x? They have a lifetime warranty.

Where would you search for used scopes? Just ask around or is there a site or something?

Yessir. Go with NF or Leupold. US Optics and S&B are going to be cost prohibitive unless you up the budget.

What rifle is it riding on?
