    X 2!!!

SDR water Polly is your friend. You can get the 1" in a 500' roll. No joints to repair!

At a 2' depth you won't crush either. But at 550' you'll have enough friction loss that volume will suffer. Going down hill helps but don't expect to put out a fire.
And like said, use a roll so you don't have as many glue joints and I would also increase tubing size as large as I could afford.

I have never messed with the black poly. How do you fix it when it breaks?

what size wire are you looking at stretching over 500 feet? Think I would be worried more about that. 2' underground is fine in PVC or other types of piping.

Friction will kill the volume with 550' run, downhill or not. I would run 2" so you have plenty volume at the end. Thats just me, I'm no plumber. 1' is deep enough.

Personally id run 1 1/4 black poly, it wont break and will never leak if it does a splice is simple. You should be able to find a company with a roll big enough to do it in one run, if not a splice is no big deal.

                Thanks for all the advice.

I understand how to calculate for the electric line but did not understand how to calculate for the water line. At most I would have a hydrant and sink but would never run them both at the same time. Thanks

I was always told for a long run the bigger the pipe the better because you can go to small and have little pressure at the end. It wouldn't hurt to go 1 1/4+"

Everybody is on the water. The elec. if you will have equipment running over it I would put ridged down at least where you plan to drive. That is the line I would be worried about breaking. JMO

You fix the black poly like you would a heater hose on a car. You use a double barb and either hose clamps or buy the crimper and use the hog ring style crimps. Much easier and durable than glued sticks.
