    NEW BOW...What would YOU get?

I've got an itch for a new bow that needs scratchin'! I have shot Mathews bows since 1997 but am keeping an open mind. I currently shoot a Monster 7 and it has been a great bow. I'm just looking for something that is a little easier to handle on the draw and the let-down. Not gonna lie, I really like the speed on this Monster (I think I'm in the mid-upper 290's??) but just looking for something a little different. My focus has been on a Creed XS, or an older Creed. BUT, I do not know anything about any of the other manufacturers. I used to back in the day but in the last few years I haven't kept up with it very much. I have a 28" DL, currently pull 70 lbs but wouldn't mind backing off to 65 or less. Would like to keep the speed around 280 or so, if not higher. And prefer 32" or less Axle to Axle.

SO...if you had to buy one today, what would you get and why?

Check out the Hoyt Carbon Spyder if you're open to other brands.

I haven't shot any of the new ones. But from what I have heard if you want speed stay with Mathews, shootability (i.e, smooth, quiet) I would say Hoyt or Elite. I shoot a Carbon Element and have shot an Elite before. The draw cycle on the Elite was awesome.

I'd probably end up with an Elite. Why? Because my Spirit is very easy to handle. I'm pulling 54 pounds on it and it draws easier than my Prime that is set at 50lbs. I can hold it at full draw for a long time, very quiet and no hand shock....

I shot a Mathews before... My hubby has been shooting Mathews for years as well. Until last weekend, he said he wasn't even considering a switch but after a side by side comparison of my Spirit next to his Z7, mine is quieter and smoother hands down...

That said, you should go someplace that sells all of the major brands and shoot them all, paying no attention to the brand and buy what feels best. Elite feels best to me. My Prime Alloy is pretty darn nice as well but not quite as smooth and "easy" as my Elite...

Elite energy 32. Easy to draw, you can hold it forever and they have the best warranty on the market. Look them up.

I really like my Creed. It's quiet, smooth, and accurate.

Obsession . Once you draw it back you can hold it with one hand and scratch your nose with the other(lol) . Seriously though you can hold it all day, it draw feel lower than what it is. I have mine set at 60 and let someone else shoot it and they swore it was no more than 50. Had to get out a scale to prove it was 60. Shoots great and have a warranty that is transferable. Also they will fix a dry fire for 50 bucks plus parts. Customer service is great also.

I have shot Mathews bows for 20 years. Currently shoot a Z7extreme and love it. That being said my next bow will be an Elite32. Shot one the other day and was blown away.

I have an Insanity CPXL and love it, it's smooth and plenty fast. I shot a Energy 35 a few weeks ago and it is very nice.

I shot mathews forever but shoot obsession now. The draw is smooth and backwall is solid as any bow out there. They are the real deal and you can get a short ata obsession that will shoot as fast or faster than your monster. If you wanna go short, check out the delta 6 or knightmare GT. if u want a longer ata bow check out the fusion 6 and 7.

Xpedition xcentric for me. The speed is there, but it's also a hybrid cam and quiet as all get out. Top notch bow for less than the competition. They also look absolutely amazing!
