    picky dog

well my dog is picky it will eat anything from broccoli to pig crap, he just will not eat duck. lol i think he is trying to tell me something. best recipe i ever heard for duck was to get some veggies stir fry them then when they are done throw the duck n the trash n eat the veggies. going to try one last time cooking it in some gumbo, now if gumbo cant fix duck its a lost cause.

What kind of duck? Are you eating divers? If so that is your issue. Eat gads widgeon teals etc and you will like them.

Wrap in bacon grill till bacon is done on high heat and duck is med rare. Perfect.

I love me some teal, deboned and wrapped with bacon, with some peppers and onions.

Try soak it in buttermilk over night. Pat dry with paper towels. Coat in homemade ranch dressing, dredge in flour and deep fry. Should be good as long as it not a fish eater type duck like a hooded merganser....

Whoever said this probably also thinks McDonald's is great. Duck is very good and not hard to cook. Allegro marinade is amazing with duck meat.

Yep...but i will eat divers too

When we are thawing it out I will put the breasts in some ice water with a little salt and keep draining till water is clear. Bacon wrap and we clean em out.

If you don't like duck then you are doing it wrong.

Best/only way I have found I like duck is to make jerky.

Not a duck hunter at all but are the Black Bellied Whistling Ducks good to eat.? They sure will eat the corn from feeders so I would guess that they are OK.

Best way to cook duck is baking duck breast on a cedar blank on 325 for 30 minutes. Carefully slide the duck breast off the cedar blank and eat the blank.
