Galaxy S5 differences between Verizon and Sprint?

I have the Samsung S5 on Verizon. My friend just upgraded from her iPhone to the S5 but her provider is sprint.
She keeps asking me questions that I should be able to answer, however it seems that there are quite a few little things that are different on her phone when compared to mine.
For example, I can customize what color LED notification I want for text messages and she can't. I can change the background on each individual text message and she can't. The preloaded text message apps are different. Mine came with Message+ but she had to download it and the icon is different so I don't think it's the same.
Anyone have any idea if these are just provider differences? I wouldn't think there would be that much difference between companies on the same phone.

Message plus is a Verizon program. Any carrier phone is going to have carrier specific apps unless you root and rom it.

My wife downloaded message plus on her Verizon s4 and it has a different icon than on my s5. I don't know if the app would even work fully functional on a sprint phone because they are technically slightly different operating systems
