When do bucks typically shed their antlers?

This evening I looked out the back door here at the house an saw 3 ante toes deer feeding with in minutes there were 6 deer feeding, all anterless. One of the deer had a massive body.

Hence my title question, as I watched this deer with my binos I started wondering if it was the big six point that I had posted a picture of about a month ago. (I will check the camera in the morning and post pictures)

If this deer is truly a doe, it is the biggest doe I personally have seen. Now I know everyone is thinking, get your butt out there and harvest it. I'm going to wait for several reasons.

Mainly I'm curious right now about when bucks stRt shedding, thanks all

    Have a great evening

At home is used to be pretty regular to see shed antlered bucks in January... East Texas-Angelina, Cherokee and Nacogdoches counties...

On our place out west, it usually starts late march through early May. Last year because of the severe drought, we had shed antlered bucks at feeders before the season ended in Feb. I'm wondering what will happen this year since we have had good rains all summer/fall...

We usually see one or two around Christmas time, but most seem to be late February and March.

Out west during drought I have seen them as early as mid-late December and have hunted turkeys in late march seeing a few with antlers still. Usually now through March is the norm.
