    Prescription glasse/progressive lenses

The cost of glasses with progressive lenses are pretty pricey even with insurance. For those who use them, any suggestions where to shop for glasses in the Conroe area? Feedback is greatly appreciated

My eye doctor is leery on the internet bifocal purchases. He said they're okay for straight lenses but once you start tweaking the lens you run into issues with the correct focal placement.

I have a pair from Zenni with bifocals and they worked out okay. I bought them for travel. I don't worry if they're forgotten in a rental car. But they were much around $150 all-in.

              Goggles4u.com.

We both buy from there and are satisfied.

I wouldn't use the internet. The spot placement is very critical with progressives. I've had problems even when buying them local where someone is marking the spots on the lense.

As long as the prescribing doctor puts down the proper near and far PD a competent lens lab should have no problem.

I tried progressives - several hundred dollars from my local optometrist. I couldn't stand them. It was ridiculous trying to keep tilting my head at just the right angle to get things in focus at different distances. I took them back and traded them for bifocals. Much simpler.

Don't know that area but got mine at a local Costco. Best price and nice lense.

I do fine with regular bifocals

Agree, internet option is not a good choice for me.
