Sometimes there is just nothing you can do....

I did mtm and chest compressions with a nurse on an 18 year old girl in a mental health unit for twelve minutes till the emt's arrived with a defib unit.

She was fine one minute talking to me, and unresponsive the next.

She never woke up. She had an undiagnosed heart rhythm defect of some type.

Happened 22 years ago -- It gets a lot better, but never goes away completely.

You did everything you could.

I've been exactly where you're at. I don't care to discuss the details and relive it, but it's a very hard place. One I never really got out of completely. Prayers up.

Is this a bow only hunt?

I would prefer it to be. Most all of the places I have to hunt are bow only. Of you win and want to use a rifle we can work it out. It will just cut down on the places I can take you.

You did everything you could.

I've had to do it quite a few times but it was always on the ambulance and never on people I knew real well. This is a lot harder to get over.
