      x2

My wife and I went to the Grande St. Lucian and had a blast. Was around $5-6K and worth every penny.

We did several excursions and the food and locals were great! We toured the other Sandals resorts on the island but found out ours was the "happening spot"--more of a party/have fun crowd.

      Activities/Excursions we did:
      -massages
-jet skiing in the bay (awesome)
      -zip lining
-"Simon Says" tour: boat ride around the island, snorkeling/swimming, Piton tour (local mountains), local lunch
      -Candlelit dinner on the beach
      -Golf at La Toc

Highly recommended and the local beer is good!

x2! We stayed at Sandals La Toc in St. Lucia. Adults only resort. Had some amazing food. Didnt get out to much to tour the town but what we did, we had an awesome time. Some of the friendliest people you will ever meet there. Round trip for 5 days was about $4k but we booked WAY in advance and found they had some specials going on at the time. Congrats on your big day!

St Lucia in my opinion is great!

For about $8k I'd look at Borabora Tahiti stay in one of the bungalows over the water! It is on my bucket list just out of my price range at the time.

It sounds like I am going to have to really look into St. Lucia. My fiancé and I have been looking at Grenada.

Cuba may be open by the time you get married. I'm sure there will be some cheap resorts there and you'll get to ride around in old antique cars as well.... ok... ok.... someone had to say it...

              carry on. good ideas here...

My wife and I got married in June of last year. We stayed at Sandals Royal Bahamian. The place is beautiful, service was great, and the drinks were cold. Very relaxed atmosphere. We went snorkeling, swam with dolphins, ate some great food! We even went to Atlantis for a day to go to the water park and casino. Would highly recommend.

Piton! And yes it is good.
We got the upgraded room where your back porch steps off into a pool. Also go to the London pub and ask for Samantha.

I got married in September of last year. We went to Puerto Vallarta and stayed in a home built into the side of the mountain overlooking the Pacific about 2 miles from where the movie "Predator" was filmed. Lots of great excursions and fishing. Very different and far more enjoyable "Mexico" experience than usual.

Here was our view from the patio:

Anyone been to St Lucia in July or August?

Just curious if anyone has been during hurricane season and would you recommend it.

CouplesNegril in Jamaica was where we went - all inclusive ad adults only - we really enjoyed it. I am not a fan of trip detail planning so I let Unforgettable Honeymoons work out the details and then just paid them - sorry I dont remember what it cost

Ritz Carlton Aruba! Just got back it was awesome. We stopped doing all inclusive...you get stuck there because "it's all free" but you get crap liquor and food compared to staying somewhere nice.
