    Your Hunting Land

Could you guy's/gal's tell me if most of your hunting land is under Wildlife or Ag exempt?? I'm just wondering what would be best to have. Thank You

We have Ag exemption. We run cattle but I know a lot of people on here hate hunting around cows because the destroy everything

We have an ag exemption currently. We have a farmer who plants wheat on a field. If I had to have livestock I would go to wildlife exemption. I will leave it under ag as it is easier to take care of. I am doing enough xtra work and things to go to wildlife if I want to do the paper work. I'm not sure, but if for some reason you go back to ag, you have to wait a few years. Not sure on that though.

This! I've been contacted twice from folks wanting to run cows on my place. No way. What they done destroy, they poop on!

Go wildlife so you wont need cows. IMO

Timber for ours. May go Wildlife in the future but no need now.

If ag keep it, if there isn't anything on the property now, wildlife is easier, but you aren't supposed to be state tax exempt, I think. Ag and timber are the same regs, and I will likely be converting over time, but for now I have cattle and raise soybeans.

                              Wouldn't surprise me.

I'm talking state(sales tax- timber, ag, http://www.window.state.tx.us/taxinf...ady_texas.html ) and county(land tax) exemptions. two different but ones, but from a tax side they are both important.
