Best large cooler for the money?

Looking to buy a 250-300+ qt cooler for the back deck of our offshore boat. They all seem to run in the $650-$1000. Which brand would y'all recommend?

I saw a pelican in the back of a guys truck one day and it looked like a casket. Can remember how much it was, around 1k i believe when i looked it up but i think it would fit your needs.

Brute makes a great cooler, but not the size you are looking for. 150 is their biggest.

The Pelican 250QT Elite Cooler is the granddaddy of all Pelican Coolers. This is the largest cooler that Pelican offers, and its extremely roomy interior is surrounded by 2-inch thick insulation that keeps your goods colder longer, touting 10+ day ice-retention that blows away the competitors in real-world conditions. Transporting the 250QT easy; grab the sturdy molded handles on either side and take it wherever your adventure brings you. Engineers at Pelican worked in the fine details you expect from Pelican products, such as push-and-pull latches, tie-downs, and a tethered drain plug all in a package that certified Grizzly Proof by the Interagency Grizzly Bear Committee. The best part? It’s guaranteed for life by Pelican’s unrivaled lifetime warranty.

The new-ish, Coleman Esky cooler is pretty nice. I think it comes in a 205 as the biggest though.

Our 150 Quart is a massive cooler. I'm 6'2" 200 pounds and I can fit inside it. Check it out at https://www.bruteoutdoors.com/shop/brute-box-150-qt/

Just a word of caution... be sure to check the actual capacity rather than the model when shopping for a cooler that size. Yeti's 250 only holds 196 quarts and it's $900. You can almost buy two Brute 150's for that price and have an extra 100 quarts of capacity. Thanks bud

i personally would get the 150 brute. I have a 75 and it is an awesome cooler. Put ice or deer in that 150 and you better have 2 men or a fork lift to load it. I could not imagine trying to load the 250.

I will have to check out the brute for sure. As far as loading and unloading, I plan to leave it in the boat.

Anywhere I can put my eyes on one of your coolers before I buy? I'm in the Beaumont area. Your cooler may be all I need but I would like to look at it prior to purchase.

You bet. Check out http://www.bruteoutdoors.com/dealers/ and it will automatically populate your nearest dealer. Not all of our dealers house the 150 Quarts so you may call a few. Otherwise, you'll get a good sense of the quality by looking at a 75 or 100 Quart. Thanks bud and let me know if I can do anything to help.
