Mechanic help !!! 2009 Chevy P-U AC fan motor

Here's my situation. Last week or so my AC fan started surging, it was not making any noise and was working, however it did seem a little weak with air flow. It worked when AC. defrost or vent air was on. Now it has quit 100%, nothing from dash vents or defrost vents. The AC compressor is kicking in if I turn it on the AC or defrost setting. I'm thinking ( praying ) it is the fan motor.

Has anyone ever had this issue or have any knowledge on this ???

Blower motor at my job is 47+tax TYC brand
Resistor 29+tax ACDelco brand

Blower resistor. And many times they burn the pigtail too..

Probably resistor or blower motor on right side of dash

Reach under there and give that fan motor a good tapping with your hand. Might come back on might not unless the resistor is bad like chuckdeer said

Newer body style is the blower motor. 2008 and 2009 very common. We replace these all the time. Highly, highly rec OEM part. Jmo Robert

I'll try messing with blower motor , it looks fairly easy to get to . It just stopped all together, I was told with the resistor , it may work on some speed levels and not the other , hopefully it's one or the other .

If you decide to get help from a mechanic, I strongly recommend Ricky's auto air on Alexander drive in Baytown. I know many people who have used him with complete satisfaction. Corner of Alexander and cedar bayou I believe.

I have heard the same about Ricky's , hopefully I can handles it . But as I learned many times before , I'm not a mechanic and there's a good reason for that !!!!

Looks like my praying worked , my fan motor is working today on all speeds & settings . Hopefully it will last a little longer .
