I have the oppertunity to own either bow, sight unseen. I have not shot either bow. I have been shooting a Newberry Sabre for the last 4 years. 27" at 68# 278 FPS. I was wondering if I can expect the same performance from either of the bows above at a lighter draw weight. The Marquis has a 50# draw and the Allegiance has a 60# draw. I am not against moving to a lighter draw weight but I do not want to sacrafice to much speed in the process. If anyone has any input it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

A drop from 68 to 50 would be severe IMHO, unless you have a medical reason to do so.
I'd go with the Allegiance for that reason alone.
Hopefully it is a 2006 & ^ for the ease of draw length adjustment via modules.
Performance wise, the weight of your arrows is the missing ingredient in that recipe...

Thanks for the information. It looks like we are going with the Allegiance Anybody have a prefrence between the smooth module and the speed module. It there a noticible difference between the 2? Do you gain that much speed with the speed module and is the smooth module that noticable of a difference?

If you will decrease letoff, (to app.75%) the speed mods will rollover nicely.
If you keep the letoff at 80%, the draw cycle will "dump", and seem harsher.
Reduce letoff by moving the draw-stop slightly shorter so that it contacts the limb a little before the cables bottom out in the mod tracks.
