Been watching 2 nubbin bucks for hours. Had a bobcat pass by 3ft away from the popup, didn't think to grab the 10mm out of my holster!! Ha ha

I had the trail that she ran down marked, no blood after 125 yards, where I shot her she should be bleeding like a stuck pig, it's pouring down rain so won't be able to track tomorrow, just gonna have to walk around. This would be my 3 rd deer to have loaf if I can't find her. My worst shot of the year, killed a nice 7 and he bled everywhere, all other 3 deer have been with shuttle t broadhead, the one I killed was with a nap. It's really frustrating to lose the deer

Man I have taken it harder than anybody to lose a deer. I can't shake it off, it destroys me and finally I learned that I can't let that happen. Don't know what your bowhunting history is prior to this year as you listed but I made lots of mistakes that manifested in some lost deer.
Keep your head up and keep flinging arrows.

I'll be back out there in the cold tomorrow morning, eventually it'll all come together!

Remember "pin on gray is not ok". I think I did this a lot, not saying you are though. It took me awhile to calm down and make sure I was really on the hair I wanted to hit. Not just drawing back seeing deer on my sight and excitedly punching the release.
Secondly, the deers body position is vital. I will not take a shot unless it's perfect. I don't care how big the deer is.
Third, I will not take a shot on a deer that is restless or jumpy.
Lastly, unless the deer falls in sight, I will not get out of the stand for at least an hour. EVER.
These are not for your education but for my own reinforcement.
