Did you use whitewood and may I ask the specs on the stain. That is exactly what I'm looking for to finish up 2 barn doors

Your wife hasn't been digging a hole in the back yard, has she?

Haha. No but I did tell her it looked like a coffin before I stained it and said I wasn't afraid to use it. She didn't laugh.

And how I built it was buying a bunch of 1x4's 8' long at HD for $1.96 a piece. This thing is actually 71" long. Top pieces are 25" long and the bottom pieces are cut to 24" long. Use 2x2's for the corners on the inside to hold everything together. It's sturdier than it sounds. I thought about screwing the screws in from the inside but glad I didnt. Kinda looks like rivets and gives it more of a rustic look. And since these boards are 3/4" thick use 1 1/4" course thread wood screws. Pretty heavy when it's all said and done so make sure you've got help bringing it inside. It's pretty time consuming and not easy on the back so.... Hope this helps.

Hey you bought that stain only 2 miles from my house. How about you just make one for my wife too?

That handle is going to be hell on your shins/knee caps. Looks good though.
