I am going to buck the group and say that he is only 3-1/2. he might go 4-1/2 but I would lean to the younger age. I say this because of his lack of neck and shouldere development. His neck and shoulders doe not mold together at all and there is a very definate transition which is a giveaway for a non-mature buck.

There is no loos skin on his face and his eyes are still fairly round and have not got the "squint eye" yet from sagging hide.

He is still more narrow in the flank than he is in the chest as well. The last pics he seems to be pretty run down from the rut and the first pic he would appear to be on some good groceries. The lack of mass is not always a dead givaway for a young deer, but I believe that it supports my guess.

I think I would give him at least one more year.

Just my opinion and as stated before, that and a buck won't get you a cup of coffee in most places these days.
