Fun. I've got a bunch of regular cedar boxes that I've considered using for a "guitar" but this one is too old and too cool to cut up. Based on some info stamped on the bottom I think I have it dated between 1915 and 1930 something. Can't find the info where I came up with that but it's close to that.
Current use is to store guitar pics, golf tees, nail clipper, random bullets, you get where I'm going. It just sits on my dresser but I was just curious about it.
Most of the more highly collectable cigar boxes have interesting and/or unique graphics. Either that or they are extremely old. I looked on eBay but didn't see this particular box. If you look there you will notice that most sellers think their stuff is far more valuable than what others are willing to pay. I would guess that yours is probably worth less than $10, but that's just my opinion. What I would do if I were you is to take several pictures, inside and out and from all angles, then find some place online (either a cigar box collecting forum or a collector) and post the pics, asking for opinions. Either that or just keep it on display somewhere in your house as a memento from your grandparents. Your other option is to make a banjo out of it as Shane did (maybe he can make you one for a price). Whatever you do, that's a neat piece of cigarabelia.
