Is there such thing as a game came tracker?

I recently got mine stolen ( and from those that followed that thread before it got stolen it wasn't pretty ) but I'm just curious if there was anything or any way to keep a tracker or anything on your game cams. Thanks in advance !

Not a bad idea at all. If you couldn't buy a game cam specific tracker, you could for sure adapt something to work. Inside the camera there should be plenty of room to install a tracker. From there, I'd imagine you could get some sort of app for your phone to track the location. Nobody is going to open the camera up and check for a tracking device. Only downside, might cost more than the camera initially cost you. But, very possible to get done.

There are cameras that have that built in. The Covert I have has that function. It's not really a tracker but you can send a command to it via text and it will reply with it's GPS coordinates. Bad thing about it is when that feature is turned on it eats through batteries like crazy so I never turn it on.

I like the cameras that are password protected. I had 3 cameras out before the season on public land and none got stolen. I wrote in password protected on the outside of the camera, don'ts know if it helped but I got all 3 back.

Unfortunately I believe password protected or not they will still take them.

Lol and for the guys wondering what happened, the game wardens got good leads while I was with them. I stayed until nightfall with that pig hoping someone would show. No one ever did.. Clearly they saw me waiting over there pig and knew something was up. That's all I want to say as I don't know if that very guy is reading this post.

I was afraid of that. Wanted to give the person the benefit of the doubt. Sounds like they were just lowlifes. Hopefully the GW can turn something up for you.

Maybe get you a decoy camera then setup your real camera hidden somewhere? Or, a simple note on the camera, "I'm watching you."

Yeah that would be nice but I doubt the game wardens will go to that extent when they have a hundred other things to do. But who knows. I would just like to find who did it.
