Need Technical Assistance

Ok this should be an easy one. I'm trying to get my zoom in and out scale( + and -) to come up on acme mapper. I've went into options but not sure what i've done or what to do. Was on there the other day but has vanished. It usually appears in the upper left corner. Can someone help? I have scouting to do. Thanks

Yes I have checked the box in settings window but still nothing.
