    My New Concealed Carry

I just bought this DiamondBack 9mm for my concealed carry. I had it narrowed down to the Smith and Wesson, Kel Tec, or the Diamondback all in 9mm. I went with the Diamondback because it was the smallest of the 3 and it still had a good feel in the hand.

I'd like to know how that diamondback shoots. Really like my DB 380 and your's looks like the same frame.

Kicking myself for not trying their new FS9 when Bud's had them crazy cheap before Christmas. Still only $285 though.

I got home too late to try it out today. I'll shoot it tomorrow and let you know how I like it. I wanted something with a little more power than a 38 but I didn't want to carry a bulkier 45 either so I chose a happy medium.

I traded in a Taurus .44 magnum I don't use anymore so I paid $215 after purchasing the gun and a few boxes of ammo

That looks nice. Is that a built in laser up front?

One thing about the mico sized handguns is they take a lot of practice to be competent with. I've shot and hunted with handguns for years. About a year ago decided to get my CCL so bought a S&W Bodyguard .380 to use in lieu of my .357's and 44 Mags. Didn't give it any thought because I was confident in my hand gun skills (wrong again ED) and never fired it until CCL Quals. It was an experience to say the least. Passed with some to spare, but would never try it again. The combination of the light weight gun, short sight radius, trigger pull (long and fairly heavy like double action revolver), and the timed fire made me wish I had brought one of my wheel guns. I still carry the .380 in a Galco pocket holster, but I've purchased a Springfield XDM Compact 3.8 .40 to carry in addition whenever possible. I can hide the Springfield under a T-Shirt just fine. The .380 in the pocket is nice for everything else and is a good addition when I'm carrying the .40.

I like the small guns, just aware of their limitations. They are great when you need to leave the larger gun home in the safe; for whatever reason.

                My New Concealed Carry

My wife picked me up one of those last week from Academy during the Costa deal.
I hope you got in on it too. ( if not the pic below is photoshopped, pay no attention to it).

I have yet to shoot it though.

Gonna be odd having it and an LCP to chose from.

That's the one I got. That's a nice deal, especially since I like the Caballitos

Lol. That's the first time I've heard someone say GOOD things about how Glocks look.

I had a few FTF while shooting some American Eagle FMJ rounds to get the feel for it. I tried some Hornady Zmax Zombie bullets and didn't have any FTF. I will definitely pick up a few different brands of hollow points to practice with now and try to find a round it functions well with. Anybody have some recommendations on what the like to shoot out of their concealed carry 9mm?

Never had a fail to feed with my DB380 but it will stovepipe if you get weak on the grip. In fact, I will let someone else shoot it and see a stovepipe more often then not. Not a good ladies gun I imagine. Knowing this quirk I never have. A problem with it.
