Deer Snoring

Ok, out on my Uncle's place with the kiddo for a deer hunt.


Around 8:40am my kiddo asks if I hear what sounds like snoring. We're supposed to be the only ones out here, so I shoot a text to my uncle to verify no one else is supposed to be out here.

The snoring ended a little after 9am.

My Uncle thinks its a big deer that has moved in. I have no idea and didn't see any other vehicals around, so don't know.

I did see this on youtube, and have to ask, has anyone else come accross a deer near their stand bedded down and snoring?

I've heard sedated/darted deer that were soundly out snore many times, pretty loud too. It happens.

x2 on this. When we dart at my uncles ranch they will get after it pretty loud once the medicine kicks in and they're knocked out

Have had pigs do so (visual confirmation); but have never confirmed a sleeping deer snoring. Are there pigs on the ranch?

Had pigs bed down 10 yards from me in cover one afternoon and start snoring. 45 minutes later they were up and away. One stayed around a little longer that he should have.
