Really. Common sense to me. But thanks for the info.
      Got to love inside edition.
Steel wool and batteries is an old Boy Scout trick.

Thanks for sharing. I have several loose ones in several places I need to tape up.

I had one blow on my dash....had it in a little mesh bag with some other metal stuff.

Something shorted out across it and started a little bonfire on the dash

I'm good Garry. Keep me in mind for the early Spring Crappie slaughter! I'm out of fish in the freezer.

Better on your dash than in your pocket. :-). I have a friend who was changing smoke detector batteries and was up un a ladder when he started to feel warm (he put the year olds in his pocket). At least he wasn't a fan of polyester!

I stopped a gas station to buy 9v for a little piece of test equip I have. Paid for it and took it out of packaging right at the register and dropped it in my pocket. Was planning on putting it in tester as soon as I got to car. Customer called and I got in car and drove off. A couple minutes into call suddenly I'm like, "What the heck!!!!" That sucker shorted across a pocket knife and was lighting me up! My customer found it very amusing! Lol

                      Blistered my leg! Lol
