    Best Logsplitter???

Thinking about getting a new log splitter.

    Currently have this...

Looking for something that is easy to use and doesn't require much lifting.

Leaning more toward a tow type with it's own motor this time.

What do yall use and/or recommend?

I've used the tow type and they are good for big logs. My folks have a tow, but the also have an electric splitter that does a real good job. It's light enough to carry but really strong when splitting. It likes logs in the 8 to 10" diameter.

I bought one a few years ago from Northern like you are wanting. Honda motor ( can't beat 'em ) and will split the knottiest , narlyist wood you can come up with. I don't cull anything !

We have the tow type from Tractor Supply and it works for all sizes. It is the 22 ton I believe but I have never given it a log that it couldn't handle, and I've had to use a tractor to get some logs to it. You can work it both ways so for the very large logs you can keep them on the ground.
