Best of the West in Liberty Hill. I was skeptical at first as I had several people tell me they weren't very friendly, etc.... I went about a month ago, took both kids, 10yo and 12yo, and we had a blast. Very friendly in the front office and the range master was an older gentleman who was very friendly and helpful. They call a cease fire every hour to replace targets. I would recommend them, I was actually so impressed I'll probably buy a yearly membership next time I go.

If you want to go have a good time, avoid Reds Indoor Range. Never too friendly and always crowded. All it's good for is sighting in a rifle if you have nowhere else to go

All listed above but will summarize:

indoor - Red's in Pflugerville. Good for sighting in rifles but usually crowded

Outdoors - Eagle's Peak in Leander or Best of the West in Liberty Hill.

Stay away from Reds. Very uncomfortable place to go. Way too crowded, too loud and too many folks that make you keep one eye open.

The one up north also has highest suicide rate.

If I'm on a time crunch and I have to and I mean no other option I'll go to reds but I will never ever bring someone with me that is a novice. Too much crazy stuff going on. Best of the west is awesome.
