I honestly don't need a cooler to keep ice longer than a day. What I like about mine is that it hasn't gotten brittle and broke due to sun exposure, the hinges haven't broken and had to be replaced, and the handles haven't fallen off. All of these things happened to my cheaper coolers. I am sure I have spent more than $400 on cheap coolers but they are all broken and gone now. I wasn't a believer in premium coolers and swore I wouldn't buy one until I won my first one, I am a believer now. The only thing I don't like is the weight but that is a trade off for durability.

The great thing is the cheap coolers are still available so that is still an option too...

I won't spend more than $50 bucks on a purse and I cannot see myself spending $300 on a yeti hopper...

I agree. My Yeti stays in the back of my work truck, and that thing has taken a beating. I've got some Coleman Extremes that work well to, but I've been through a couple sets of hinges and the lids are warped for the sun. They definitely are built to last.

My wife spends more than $300 for a purse. Mine won't go out of style next year either.

These are very well made from what I can tell so far.
That's my look on it. Don't complain what I buy when I don't say anything about your purse addiction lol

The hopper is too big IMO I love my brute perfect for going to the stand or an evening out, and at 75.00 it can't be beat. Don't get me wrong I'm a yeti fan. I own the 45 and 65 but I just don't see the purpose. If I'm gonna need that much stuff kept cold I take a tundra what is the use in the giant soft side? I'll take my little Brute over the hopper any day of the week and as far as the zipper leaking, who cares don't turn it upside down.
