That's one heck of a 8 for Victoria county. Are you going to be able to hunt this weekend because the weather will be much cooler tomorrow afternoon and Sunday but you will have north winds.

Back in the saddle this afternoon. Still have a south wind which is good for this set up. North wind is bad for this set up so I will just scout once the wind shifts. 2 fawns out on the oats already so fingers crossed.

I am tucked into a popup that overlooks a feeder next to an oats patch and a tank. This is a tricky set up because the wind is blowing back to where they sometimes come in but I am about as scent free as a fella can get. Target has generally been staying in this area. He does not generally come to the feeder but the oats patch is such that it is difficult to get a good popup set up. Fingers crossed, feeder just went off.

Man I would find a way to hunt that oat patch with a north wind as he is more likely to use it during daylight when it's cold out. That north wind should start tomorrow afternoon. Good luck I hope you get him.
