If you get a chance head north to Port Berri and get some cracklins, the best i have ever had.
Best cracklins I've found yet are at Don's custom meats at the Scott exit. (I think its exit 97, same exit at Cajun Harley Davidson) Just a couple miles before the Lafayette exit.

I stop there every 2 weeks for a 1/2 pound.
Great eats!!
Frank, you have a very good memory !
somehow my vehicle engages in "auto-pilot" and pulls into Don's parking lot every time I get on I-10
you need to try eating cracklins with those chopsticks I bought for you
the boudin is even better than the cracklins
Steve, glad to hear you and the Chew Meister made it safely.
Did the new tire costs put a dent in the Prejean's allowance ???
If you're going to go to Don's for cracklin's, you might as well go across the street to Best Stop to get the best Boudin in south Louisiana. "It's a long and lonely highway without boudin and cracklins from Best Stop". Trust me on this one. Same exit, just about a half mile on the other side of I-10. If you make it to Prejean's, I recommend the fried alligator, and you should ask to speak to Biker Bob (the owner). Dude is a riot.
If I can wake sleeping beauty, we are about to head to the Cajundome to set up the tank and start filling it wih water. I hope to get to Wal-Mart to get Bobby some floaties for later.
