    Question for you Megacab owners

I am hoping I pick my new 3500 megacab up from the dealership in the morning. In two weeks I need to go to the lease to pick up my fifth wheel. My question is, what type of hitch are y'all using. It has the integrated hitch thing in the bed already but did you do the rails or go with the single gooseneck type pin. I am wanting to go a differant route than the rails but wanting to get others thoughts and opinions.

    Thanks

You are probably going to need a sliding hitch since it will have a short bed.

If it is a short bed look at the Colibert Rail Rider. I have a short bed Dodge, not a Megacab. I installed a B&W convertiball receiver hitch in it and the Colibert Rail Rider slides into that. When I pull the hitch out all it leaves is the flush mounted gooseneck receiver in the bed. It works very well and is well built.

I usually just leave it latched on my trailer and lift it our of the truck with the trailer jacks storing it still latched on the kingpin.

Any other ideas besides needing a slider.

You could also do a Sidewinder setup with a non-slider hitch.
