Chad E, his brother-in-law and myself were drawn for the first week of the whitetail hunt. Two years ago we had a great time, I can't wait to find out what is in store for this trip.

Yes, you can stand hunt but you need to find the right place by scouting. This will be my third trip and if we get in the same pasture we will have a pretty good idea where to go.
However, I live 7 hours away so there is no way for me to get up there to scout before the 29th.

I'm looking forward to it. Wish they would not have moved the hunts to the middle of the week, but 'o well. This is trip No. 4 to the Matador for me. I'm batting .250, but looking to improve to .400.
