Where to hunt exotics?

So I will have about 1000 dollars to spend on an exotic hunt after the first of the year. I really want an axis buck or blackbuck. Where can I go and have a good chance at one of these? I don't have to kill a monster just a good animal. Any help would be appreciated.

Never been. But its hunting either way if you know what I mean. Heard very good things about both places.

Save some more and go to a pay per trophy place. Better chances at bringing back something.

Youre gonna need more than $1000 to have good odds at those animals unless you find a great deal.

Most of the places like KJO, Lee, etc do have them, but Id say you have less than a 50/50 chance at killing one. I did kill one at KJO and a pretty nice one at that (axis) but i was one of two of us who even had a chance at one. I have not been to his new ranch. Those places wouldnt stay in business if people were killing axis and blackbuck for 500-600 constantly. You can get a pretty nice trophy blackbuck for 2000-2500 and should be able to find a nice trphy axis for that as well. I did a LOT of looking before i booked mine and my wifes hunt that we did a month ago. I did find some for 1500ish but they werent worth the money for the size or the ranch was more of a kick and shoot place.

you can hunt axis with the allisons right there in carthage, but its more then 1k

Yea I drive by the ranch almost everyday. I've checked their prices and it's just to steep for me.

Not trying to be disrespectful, but if you want a guaranteed kill/animal, which it sounds like you do, keep saving until you've got at least $2000. Then you'll be more ready to book somewhere.

Double your bankroll. Sometimes good deals pop up on THF. I don't post there much but have booked hunts through there before. Going to Double Arrow in March for 2 oryx.
