Don't no if it's been posted. But anyone see where they asked him what he was doing when he got the call.
His response I was up in a tree with a bow in my hand.
Off the subject a bit, but I wonder how old the guy is? I'm pretty sure he's older than I am, I'm 71. I remember listening to him in the mid 70's and seem to remember him broadcasting in the mid to late 60's (not sure of that, got Edsheimers). Doesn't really matter, we can still climb trees, at least I can.

The guy you're thinking of was older than you. He was 82 and he died this year.

Was pretty sure he was older. Just googled up Case Keenum and am now enlightened. Now understand why I didn't know who he was ... this will probably get me thrown out of Texas, but I don't follow football. Played in HS and College, but don't really follow the game. The wife's a fanatic. Should have asked her. I love baseball, does that help? Pretty big hockey fan also.
I've got to admit, I'm one of those Case Keenum fans that thinks the Texans should have kept him. This just makes me like the guy even more! This is from an article at chron.com.

Bow and arrow in hand, Case Keenum was perched in a tree on a lonely deer lease outside St. Louis late last Sunday afternoon when he began receiving texts from his wife, Kimberly. She was monitoring the Texans’ game and some strange things were happening to his former team in Indianapolis.
Ryan Fitzpatrick, Houston’s starting quarterback, had suffered a broken leg and his backup, rookie Tom Savage, had also apparently been injured. Already lost for the season was Ryan Mallet. Suddenly, Keenum wasn’t overly interested in bagging a whitetail, or all that wrapped up in being the yesterday’s news practice-team quarterback for the St. Louis Rams. What had come to seem like a lost season for him had taken an astonishingly intriguing turn.
Might the Texans want him back? They hadn’t when Mallett went down, signing Thad Lewis instead, but now…
Then, sure enough, his agent later called and, he said, “My heart jumped a little bit.”
