    Want to build an AR

I know just about everyone has one and I couldn't afford one till now. but How much would it cost, and where should I get the parts. I know very little about them but want to build it. So if anyone could help it would be appreciated.

At lot of it depends on how much you're looking to spend

I built mine this past summer. You can spend as much or as little as you want. There are a few tools you will need to buy or borrow. An Armors wrench, torque wrench, an upper vise block, a vise, and a punch set. You tube is your friend when building an AR. It was super easy and you get to know how each part works.

it is a lot easier than you would think. Until you start getting into sbr builds and calibers like 300aac I don't like tweaking the gas systems enough to deal with that

Start with the stripped lower. Brownells has had them on sale for 50.00. A basic lower parts kit with stock is pretty inexpensive. Buy a complete upper and you are ready to shoot.

Of course there are options: 2 stage triggers, different stocks and a wide range of uppers out there. And you could build your upper.

How much did you want to spend?

This is my newest, still need a barrel, optics, and bipod. Deciding on which trigger set I'm gonna go with also. I have over $700 in it already like it sets. Its gonna be the 6.8spcII
Oh the can was already purchased last year. The $700 is just in the gun

I build my first for around that, maybe a little under. It isn't the best ar out there but out to 200yrds it works great and haven't had any issues with it. I went with a poly lower, spikes lpk and just kept shopping around the find the stock and upper I wanted at good prices

Try palmetto state armory. Lots of parts there for cheap. Or bump up your price and find a colt.

That thing looks awesome! I've been shopping around for an AR in a 6.8. I love the flat dark earth color. I'm prolly just going to buy a whole rifle because I'm new to the AR and all the parts. I've been looking around and I like the Bison Arms and the Wilson Combat.

I received my NOVESKE barrel today, so it looks like ill be building the gun tomorrow. I will test fire it but don't have any OPTICS yet.
