    What the freaking heck?

Watching the Bucks of Tecomate and struggling to get through the obvious after filming and what not. However I understand you gotta make a show out of it so whatever, its in South Texas so that's why I watch. Anyways this dude shoots a toad of a double beam buck and when they get a hold of the horns and start talking about how great the hunt was and everything and they have both the nose and shot blurred out! What the hell!?! Its just freaking blood and apart of the hunt! Are the libs or PETA watching the outdoor channel now or something?!?!?

I watched this when I got home from work yesterday and did not notice this. Then again, I was also shoving pizza in my mouth and may have missed it.

Buck was wearing a t-shirt with a logo they didn't have permission to air

You'd be surprised the things outdoor shows have to do in order to appease the squeaky wheels. The outdoor channel isn't exactly run by hunters, and they bow down to the whims of the very loud minority. It amazes me that shows like dexter and such can show such violence, yet we get criticized for showing a completely natural way to obtain pure organic sustenance.

If I remember correctly when I was a kid, they wouldn't show the impact of the bullet or arrow.

Yep, you're exactly right. We have come a long way now since they show the shot on camera. Hope this doesn't mean we are losing ground again.

Yep, I remember going to the video store looking for the hunting videos the had the warning "explicit kill shots", most of these were Uncle Ted's videos. Go figure.

North Korea didn't approve so they had to blur it out.

Their show is syndicated on other sporting channels that don't allow blood, etc. due to the audience (kids, bunny huggers, Californians). Just easier to make one version and call it a day. I was blown away when we relocated to TX from California at what was shown here vs. there.

Someone would find a reason to complain about it...
