My 6yr old son and I just finished our very first duck and goose hunt. We hunted with two other TBHers - duckman49 (aka Colin) and StickItToEm (Scott). Scott brought his dog Sly who did an awesome job of retrieving the birds for us.
Colin went above and beyond in helping my son learn what to do, when to get ready, and helped him with his little single shot 410. I had more fun watching and helping my son that I think I might've only raised my guns three times or so. The cherry on top was that my son got to make a shot at a goose on the water before Colin finished it off...and I got it on video!
If you have young kids and want to take them hunting either just for fun or for a little more serious trip I very highly recommend you contact Colin. I could not have asked for a better first trip with my son.
