my daughters are 5 & almost 7. They both want a bow for Christmas, I was looking at cabelas and they have a pink bow for like $70 that I was going to get them but I was concerned on the poundage, it went from 15 - 20lbs. I'm not sure if that is to much for them, do you think they will be able to pull 15lbs?

I bought my daughter the Diamond Atomic when she was 4, and she was able to pull it back no prob at 6# now she is 6 years old and pulling 15# that's the compound version though 6#-29# and 12"-24", there is the sub-atomic which is the recurve 15#-25# w/20" max drawComment

Is it a gift from Santa or Daddy? If its from dad then best bet is to take them to a shop and let them shoot a few times and keep the receipts...lol... its just hard to tell at such a young age. With my daughter, I bought the bow, her own target, and 1000 balloons, and anytime I was out shooting she wanted to so until she could do it by herself my bow was neglected...unless I was able to sneak out.Comment

Our daughter is 5 and has been shooting 15lbs for about 6 months now. She has one of the bear pink bows you're talking about under the tree for her Christmas upgrade. At first she had a little trouble pulling it and continued to practice and now pulls it with ease.Comment
