    It has been confirmed.
    A Stihl CHAINSAW was used!!!!!!!! Yes that is 1/2 of a deer..

                      Seems bizarre on a deer but I know guys that do that with elk so they can "sling" them on a horse. The 2 halves kind of interlock and you tie down the legs.

                        Did he at least wait for your guys to cape it out and take the rest of the meat? If not, I wouldn't be surprised at all (and don't blame them one bit) if a game warden sees this and seeks a little more information.
