    Need New Tires (suggestions?)

I bought a used '05 GMC Sierra 4x4 Crew Cab a few months back. It has BF Goodrich tires on it and they have seen there day. I'm looking for an aggressive All Terrain tire for a 17" rim....preferably 285's. I like Cooper..just wanted to see what else was out there. Any suggestions?

If you are moving up from BFG AT's then maybe you should look into the Nitto Mud Grappler's. They have a mean tread. I also liked the Toyo's Mud terrain tires. Expensive but they look great.

I got my me and my wife some Coopers All Terrain a few years ago. Very disapointed in them. With mine after about 10,000 miles they started breaking apart. Literally chunks would break off. Same thing happened to my wifes truck around 15,000 miles. The tire dealer made it right and we went with BFG.

IYO, just got off the phone with TireMax and they suggested the Nitto Mud Grappler's...which my dad has on his dodge. He loves the hell out of 'em and they apparently ride real smooth for an aggressive tire.

I also looked at the BFG AT tire @ Discount Tire earliar this morning. I almost put those on....good looking tire.

Cant go wrong with the Yokohama's. Im on my third set and they are much cheaper than the BFG's.

Dang Brandon, that ain't worth a flip. I've had nothing but good experiences with Cooper's. BFG has a darn good tire...can't go wrong with 'em.

I have a set of BFGs on my 04 Silverado. I have always liked them. Had them on for about 20K now and they have not missed a beat.

                          Johnny -

Those are the ones I have on mine. I got mine at Discount.

This will be about the 5th set of BFGs I have owned, on various trucks.
