Anyone have personal experience with ARs in 7.62x39

So, my next purchase will be an AR for sure. Not sure if I will build or buy yet, but I have several AKs and tons of ammo for them, so I was considering going with 7.62x39. I've read some stuff online and there are lots of reports of feed problems. Who has one, and do you have any feed or other issues.

I have one and most of the feed problems are due to the mags.
i love mine and don't have any problems. I have heard the "Frankenstein" mags are the problem most of the time.

Thanks. I would hate to buy or build one and not like it because it won't feed reliably. Any magazine brand recommendations?

I have a DD defence ar, 223/5.56 that I would consider trading, for a AK in same conduction and value.. 60 rounds thru AR..

It's a New Frontier lower I bought off someone cheap with DPMS upper. The barrel is Sportsman Guide's purchase, but ended up being pretty highend. Nothing special, shoots nice, is lite, and functions every time you pull the trigger. Pm me your email or number and I'll shoot you a photo.
