My Barnett has thumb guards. Just like any other weapon. Gotta pay attention

If guns kill people, then matches cause arson....

The fault is with the operator.

Ten point is only manufacturer that I am aware of that makes a forearm guard to prevent people from allowing that to happen. Accidents happen though.
Its hard for me to put my thumb above the rail on the Excalibur Matrix.

It is not just Barnett! Any crossbow will cut your finger off if you get it in the way of the string. It's user error, and I'll bet you a paycheck there is a warning about hand placement in the owners manual somewhere!

And btw, they are really crossguns. The only reason they are called crossbows is because guns were not invented when they were, and they had to call them something!

The fore/front grip on my strykezone is well under the rail. Keep all fingers on it and your safe.
