Tracking Dog's for Finding Wounded Deer

Looking to see if anyone has a copy of Tracking Dog's For Finding Wounded Deer by John Jeanneney that I could borrow for a while. Picking up a pup tomorrow and looking to train her for blood trailing. Probably would like to borrow it for about a month so I can read through it a couple times and commit some of it to memory.

I know it's an expensive book, and if anyone has one I can borrow I will take very good care of it, and I also promise that if something were to happen, I will replace it. I'd just rather not have to spend the money if I don't have too.
    Much appreciated,
    Jake

Holy crap! I just looked up the price. I'm sure it is well worth it and good luck with your pup.

What breed of pup? I've been contemplating getting myself a blood dog but can't decide on what breed I want to go with

Just call John, he'll send you a copy of the book. I think I paid $20-$30 back in 2010.

Sweet info!!! I'm going to do that for sure!
Yea, from what I can gather it was very limited run book that is very sought after. When all the copies sold, everyone without one started paying more and more. Supply and Demand.

We're getting a Beagle. There were lots of pups on the maybe list, but it's what we found as the right dog first

I have a copy you can borrow. Please PM your address and I will get it out in tomorrows mail. (if I remember!) I'll return a PM with my cell#. Text me tonight and remind me to put it in the truck.

How easy is it to cross train blood dogs as antler shed dogs?

They aren't necessarily blood only dogs if you're training them to scent track. They don't have to just track one thing, as long as you train them. I can't tell you how to do it, but I have seen and read from people that know a whole lot more then me about it.

I called that number a couple of years ago to order a Book, and was expecting to talk to someone in sales. Mr. Jeanneney, was the one that answered the phone. Very nice Guy... Told me if I had any questions to give him a call. The book came in a couple of days later, and he had signed it for me.
