              That deer is over 5.5. I would bet money on it. Let us see his teeth. Those saying 3.5 are not ever allowed to hunt my place without me in the stand

                    One of the best things I have found to help with aging deer is to hunt with a good digital camera. I have been taking pics of as many bucks as I can for the last six years or so. I keep a folder on my computer for each year so I can go back and try to identify the same bucks in previous years. I try not to cull till at least 4-1/2 and rarely take a buck until I've gotten several good looks at him, unless it's a no brainer buck I have history with. Hard to do any management the way our place is set up. I just try to do what I can with what shows up and hope the neighbors do the same.
