Tuned in to this. I love that country. I went on a few Javi hunts back in the 80's on a Ranch down on the river. That country hates people, everything has thorns on it and those little purple cactus will crawl right up your pants leg. Don't squat before looking!

                Just got back last night.

Just the facts..... You always come back from that end of the world w storries and I have plenty. We passed on a lot of small bucks. We have a spike there there that thinks he owns every feeder. The bucks were stillin there groups. 9 illigal aliens came through one of the setups and my buddy called it in. Border Patol was there super quick and rounded them all up. They buzzed my cabin w the chopper. It made for an interesting night. We had a flat on the way. A flat on the 4 wheeler (stuck a screw in it and it held the trip). Saw a never ending line of does cross in front of my blind. I would guess about 30. Saw a buck on the 6 mile road in that got hung in the fence and died. HE looked like he went through a struggle. When your out there you NEED ice. My new Yeti's held ice strong all 4 days. Didnt see any Javalina this time. No quail either. Lots of Hunters that way. 20 years ago it was amazing to see another car on the main road in. Now there is traffic in and out and deer blinds on every ridge.

We stripped the cabin. The 4-5 years I had not been out to my place (busy w work) the cabin really got taken over by mice. We trashed everything. New carpet, new wood stove. new beds. scrubbed everything. Rained on one morning pretty good. My dad was happy to hear we did all the improvements. Out house is still missing a door. The wind took it long ago. NExt year will be much easier. In Sept we went out there for the first time and we had to start from scratch with feeders. We were tossed alot of corn and even though we didnt shoot any of the bucks we saw, we had a blast. Crown and Coke went fast in the evenings. Good times with my PO partner, life long friend and his dad. Also this was the first time we took a "sun Shower " out there. Best 5 bucks I have ever spend. We just boiled water and filled it up. Pics to come ........
